Today, I’ll talk about my plan for the essay. I chose the film UP.
I divide this talk into two parts.
First, I will describe the structure of my essay.
Then, I will talk about the main ideas of my essay.

The structure of my essay.
I will divide my essay into three parts—discourse, which discusses animation ideas from different views. And the bibliography most from Chris’ supporting material.
The second part is an analysis of the Up. It is also the most important part of my essay.
The analysis will include the relationship between film and audience, film languages, historical circumstances. The last part is the conclusion. Most of the bibliography is from Chris’s course PPT and other official websites.

Now, let’s turn to the next page—the relationship between audience and film.
And, I will focus on what goes on inside the audience’s mind is given by the movie. The filmmaker makes a connection between the film and the audience’s mind.
Take an example from the UP. Please look at the light yellow picture; our brain can get the information that the characters are preparing a baby room in a happy mood. We can get a happy feeling as well. As a contrast, the dark clod screenshot gives us a heavy sadness mood. I will combine with animation paper and film languages to deep analysis.
Now, let’s turn to the next page—the film languages.
There are a lot of film languages created by former filmmakers, such as Montage, editing, narrative. I will use film languages for analysis UP—for example, the editing, match action.
